After years spent in Turin as an officer of the Carabinieri, Rocco Capossela returns to his hometown in Southern Italy for the funeral of his father, Domenico, a former train conductor on the historic Avellino-Rocchetta Sant'Antonio railway line. His return forces him to confront an unresolved past and a paternal relationship marked by silences and misunderstandings.
